WEEK IN MY LIFE: WHAT I WORE TO WORK
Hey there! I hope you all had a great Easter yesterday. I figured I’d log on and file a little update about my life.
I have left my #WFH insurance sales job, and started a new position at a luxury home furnishings brand last week. Let’s talk about that for a sec. It was actually a scary decision to make for some reason. Yes, I was comfortable working at home but honestly it got BOR-ING. Working in what was basically a call center job, in my studio apartment was literally driving me crazy. I worked, ate, and slept in the same place and there was no separation between work and home. I also really got tired working in a high pressure sales position. I also left my part-time retail position. Leaving that was actually sad because I felt like I was leaving a family. But in the end, it has actually opened up the opportunity for doing what I really love in a new part-time position doing home organization projects. I was worried about losing the extra income, but God has provided even better. Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.
That being said, I obviously needed a new wardrobe. I have either worn a uniform or sweats daily for the last almost two years. So I literally had no neutral colored, business casual workwear. I purchased a few basic pieces like blouses, pants, and dresses that I can mix and match for different looks. And of course I’m scouring Pinterest to get some inspiration. Here are some of the outfits I plan on recreating. Follow me on Pinterest here to see more!
