HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR STUDIO APARTMENT BATHROOM
To know me is to know that I typically steer from a lot of color, particularly in home design. I prefer to have something with neutrals that is calming and not a whole lot going on. Since I have a studio floorplan, it is especially important that keep everything neutral so that all of the areas flow together.
However in my bathroom, it is bright white. Like, almost blindingly white. So I threw caution to the wind and ordered some peel and stick wallpaper. Funny story actually about that. I originally ordered black and white paper, but Amazon sent me this teal and gold paper. I thought about it for a second and ended up loving it. The pattern brings a dark and dramatic feel to the room, almost like a fancy powder room! Even after adding the wallpaper it still feels like there is too much white. Planning on bringing some texture and warmth with the runner, and the velvet curtains. Yes! You can use regular curtains in the bathroom! Just add a plastic liner behind it. The woven basket I found at Target ($10! to hold toilet paper to free up some space under the sink), and I’m thinking of getting the wood shelf to hold small decor items.
Normally, I’d document the process as I go a long, but I kind of want to do just one big reveal! Stay tuned and follow me on instagram @amberlydp and TikTok @byamberly for updates!
